Nevermore

Nevermore

David Niall Wilson

The moment I saw Poe’s name I was  intrigued. Mr. Wilson did not disappoint. If you are already a fan of Poe you will enjoy this alternate history of Poe as a hero.  If you don’t have the slightest clue who Edgar Allan Poe is then you will be seduced by the magic and mystery of the tale. I have already recommended this to people who know and love Poe. I am confident they will love it as well. My only issue is  with the prose as it tends to overflow in some passages but I think that is a problem with the reader and not necessarily with the writer. I am just one who prefers a simpler style. However fans of Hardy or James will really appreciate the long, detailed sentences. Overall I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. But a very high recommendation for all to read it.
