The Haters

The Haters

Jesse Andrews

If you didn't fall in love with Jesse Andrews already after his bestselling book, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, get ready. This book is about finding your people as much as it's about finding yourself. Two young men, Wes and Corey, enter jazz camp with about as much enthusiasm as this word nerd faces numbers. So, of course, they leave almost immediately with a vivacious young woman, Ash, to take their newly formed-doesn't even have a name- band on the road. And then it gets complicated. I found this book smart and refreshing with an interesting style that enhances this funny story. Music aficionados will appreciate the arcane references while lesser fans won't feel left out. An absolute treat that I gobbled up in days.
